Where I occasionally ramble and rant about matters psychedelic.

13 November 2008

I was in London a couple of weeks ago and, as you do, I went for a stroll round Camden. Prior to the present political administration outlawing all forms of 'hallucinogenic' fungi such as Cubensis etc, Camden was a hot bed of stalls selling a variety of psychedelic mushrooms. Since they were banned these same stalls are selling dried Fly Agaric mushroom. This, as you all know, is perfectly legal to possess but yet is one of the more dangerous fungi. With Fly Agaric it's a fine line between a dose and an overdose and it is very easy to die, or damage the kidneys or liver. Now, do you think your average Camden Indie kid knows this? I doubt it; they just want to get high and by a piece of frighteningly stupid legislation they are now unable to buy relatively harmless fungi and instead will try Agaric. How incredibly stupid is the Government?
